Independent recognition from the Digital Medicine Society affirms the company’s approach to secure, patient-directed access to medical records
OAKLAND, Calif. – September 8, 2026 – xCures, a pioneering healthcare data company, today announced that its Individual Access Services (IAS) Solution has been awarded the DiMe Seal by the Digital Medicine Society (DiMe), the professional organization advancing the practice of digital medicine. The seal is awarded to digital health software products that demonstrate performance against a comprehensive framework of standards and best practices in evidence, privacy and security, and usability.
More than 350,000 digital health software products are on the market, and until recently a hospital or a patient had no consistent way to tell which ones were built responsibly. DiMe developed the seal with its cross-disciplinary community of experts to serve as that signal. In February 2026, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services recognized the DiMe Seal as an evaluation pathway supporting the new Medicare app library.
“Anyone trusting a product with their medical records deserves more than the company’s word that it was built responsibly,” said Mika Newton, CEO of xCures. “The DiMe Seal is an independent evaluation by experts who know this field. Earning it for our solution tells patients and partners that the way we handle identity, consent, and records holds up to outside scrutiny.”
The xCures Clinical Clarity Engine gives individuals a secure way to request their own medical records from hospitals, clinics, and health systems nationwide and receive them back in an organized, usable view. Users verify their identity through CLEAR, consent to the release of their information, and the Engine retrieves their records through the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA), the national framework for secure health data exchange. The Engine then transforms the messy data that returns into actionable insights. Health organizations can also offer the solution under their own brand, an approach xCures and the Colorectal Cancer Alliance are applying to BlueHQ, the Alliance’s support hub for people affected by colorectal cancer.
With the award, the xCures IAS Solution joins DiMe Seal recipients that include products from Google, Microsoft, Samsung, Noom, Oura, and Teladoc Health.
